January 2015 Market Performance

Without a doubt, the Wilmington area real estate market is doing very well.

Below are a few relevant stats for the greater Wilmington area (which includes Leland, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Hampstead). The data shows January 2015 finished substantially ahead of January 2014.

A total of 394 properties sold this past January (up an impressive 16.57% from 338 in January 2014.)  The average sales price for a home was $244,644 (up 10.60% from the same time last year.)

More than $96 million of real estate sold.  That’s a whopping 28.93% more than January 2014, when $74.7 million sold.

The average number of days it takes for a home to sell changed only a little, dropping by one day this January vs. the same month last year.
