Wilmington, NC- One of the most unique luxury homes in the tri-county area was listed for sale in September. The estate located at 1035 Ocean Ridge Drive, Wilmington is one of 30 properties with a seven figure asking price in the tri-county area listed last month.
The home is nicknamed “Three Bridges,” because it is made up of three structures, all connected by bridges. In this picture you can see two of the structures. On the right is the 5,000 square foot main house. On the left is the three bedroom, three bath, Nantucket inspired lighthouse. The waterfront property sits on 2 ½ lots in Landfall. It is listed by Vance Young, Intracoastal Realty. With an asking price of $4,475,000 it is the most expensive new listing to debut in September.

Across the board, September was an active month in the luxury housing market. In addition to the new listings, another 16 homes with a combined value of $27.8 million sold during the month. New Hanover County led the way with 10 of those sales. Five were located in Brunswick County, and one was in Pender County.
There was little doubt this September would outperform last September. The housing market came to an almost complete standstill in September 2018 after Hurricane Florence tormented the area. Still experts, point to a trend of 2019 monthly sales outpacing last year.
“Obviously, last September’s numbers were pretty easy to beat” says Kathleen Baylies Broker-in-Charge at Just For Buyers Realty. “ But 2019 sales have outperformed last year for four months in a row now. Looking at the number of luxury homes that went under contract last month, it’s likely October will be the fifth month in a row that high end homes have exceeded the same month from the previous year.”
