There are several small, private airports, and a couple of larger, public airports located in the Cape Fear Region. Aviation enthusiasts also have access to flight clubs, plane rentals and flying lessons. The community of Pilots Ridge in Wilmington has its own private runway, and most homes there feature their own airplane hangar.
