Wilmington, NC- Residents of Wilmington’s Helms Port neighborhood must have known that one day someone would build on the empty lot down the street. Nautical Isle is just too perfectly located for someone not to take advantage of it.
Turns out that someone is a company called Tongue and Grove Design and Build. The Wilmington based firm specializes in building luxury homes that garner national attention for their eye-catching design. Last month, Tongue and Grove announced their proposed plans to construct a five-bedroom, seven bath, 5,400 plus square foot home on the empty lot at 5908 Nautical Isle. The project is listed with an asking price of $4,350,000, which makes it the 8th most expensive property currently for sale in the county. As this is a proposed design, potential buyer can customize plans to fit their lifestyle. Once complete, the home will offer panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean along with access to a private marina.
The concept property is one of 31 newly listed luxury homes in New Hanover County with a price tag of $1 million or more to debut on the market in February.
It was another active month for luxury real estate sales. Ten homes closed for a combined value of $14.1 million. That’s the second best February on record in New Hanover County. It falls just shy of a mark set in 2006 when 12 homes sold for $21.6 million.
In addition to the closed sales another sixteen high end homes went under contract in New Hanover County.
Meanwhile, Brunswick County saw four luxury homes sales, and one was recorded in Pender county.
