Wilmington, N.C.- A nearly 6,600 square foot, waterfront estate in the exclusive Landfall neighborhood sold in September. The property is located on two and a half lots, with five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. It was listed by Vance Young of Intracoastal Realty. It closed on September 9th for $3,250,000.
While there are homes that have sold for more money in Landfall, and a few in the neighborhood that are larger, the home known as “Three Bridges” is likely the most unique in the entire development. It gets its name from three small foot bridges located on the property; two that you can see in the picture on the right. One bridge connects the main house to a guest house shaped like a Nantucket lighthouse, the other two bridges connect each of the dwellings to the garage.
“Landfall is where luxury buyers come to live,” said Scott Saxton of Just For Buyers Realty. “There are a number of exclusive communities throughout the Cape Fear region. Some like Bald Head and Figure Eight Island are made up largely of second homes, a place for the residents to summer. In Landfall people tend to stay year round. It’s a gated community, with all the amenities, including two incredible golf courses. If you’re a luxury buyer Landfall needs to be on your list of place to look.”
The sale of the Three Bridges estate was one of 59 luxury properties to close throughout September in the Tri-County area. Collectively the homes sold for $95.1 million. That’s compared to September of 2021 when 57 homes sold for $92.5 Million. September became the 28th month in a row where luxury homes in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties saw increases in year-to-year sales.
