Cape Fear Luxury Real Estate Market Posts Best November Ever
The luxury housing market in the tri-county area of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties, posted its most profitable November ever. Last month a total of 47 homes with a price tag of $1 million and above sold for a combined value of $74.9 million. That outpaced November of 2021 when 45 homes sold for a collective $72 million. The fastest growing town, in one of America’s fastest growing counties, is right across the river from Wilmington. ILM Announces a Deal with Second Low Cost Airline
For the second time in this calendar year Wilmington International Airport (ILM) has announced a partnership with a new airline. Low cost carrier Sun Country will start direct flights from Wilmington to Minnesota’s Twin Cities. The nonstop flights will be offered twice a week from June 1 to Labor Day 2023. Learn more
November Housing Sales Numbers
Although November was a good month for the luxury market, overall sales dipped by more than 20% in a year-to-year comparison. Meanwhile housing prices in the area continue to go up. The average home in the tri-county area of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties rose by $60,000 from November 2021.
Christmas in a Coastal Town Means a Flotilla
If you’ve never been to a flotilla, then put it on your bucket-list. In Coastal Carolina, during the month of December, no less than a half-a-dozen flotillas are held. Boaters go to extreme lengths to decorate their vessels in the holiday spirit. The pictures in this gallery were submitted by friends on our social media platforms.
