Play Ball? Texas Rangers have Plans to Build a Minor League Venue in Leland
The Town of Leland is talking with the Texas Rangers about the possibility of bringing a minor league team, ballpark, and entertainment venue to town. If approved a ball club could be here for opening day 2026. Read more

Luxury sales slowing in the region
In January sales of homes priced at $1 million or more dropped dramatically throughout New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties. “There is no reason to sugar coat this, last month was bad news for sellers,” said Scott Saxton of Just For Buyers Realty. “But it could be great news for buyers.” Read more.
January Real Estate in the Cape Fear Region
For the first time since 2019 a year has started off with a dip in year-to-year sales. The number of homes that sold in January declined by more than 32% throughout the Cape Fear Region. The number of homes going under contract and the number of new listings also dipped last month.
