At Just For Buyers Realty L.O.V.E stands for Living On Vacation Every Day!
One of the thing we L.O.V.E about living so close to the ocean is sometimes they let you sleep on the beach. Picture it, you throw down a blanket, or maybe you pop up a tent, and you get to drift away to the sounds of waves coming ashore.
The thing is, you only get to do this at certain times of the year. At Freeman Park on Carolina Beach’s north end- which is arguably the area’s number one spot for beach camping- you have to wait until the tourist season is over before you can spend the night underneath the stars.
This year overnight camping will resume on Labor Day and extend all the through the Thursday before Memorial Day.
You must make reservations online. The cost is $50 a night. Only tents are allowed, no trailers or RVs but you can park a four wheel drive vehicle right on the beach provided it has a valid Freeman Park access.
It can get chilly overnight but campfires are only allowed in the park from October 1st through March 31st. You can only burn natural firewood in a fire container less than 3 feet in diameter. Burning trash, shipping pallets, or construction material is not allowed. For more rules and regulations, or to make reservations, check out the Freeman Park Website here.
