Since it first hit the market in 2016, the Riverlights community on the west side of Wilmington near the Cape Fear River, has been one of the most popular developments in town. The 1,400-acre property has its very own shopping and dining district and a 7 mile lake. Right now close to 900 families call the neighborhood home and it’s only going to get bigger.
Construction on a new section of Riverlights will start early in 2024. It is being called The Haven at Riverlights. The development will feature 151 single-story ranch-style homes with coastal craftsman architecture, according to a press release that came out last month. The floor plans offer two-, three- and four-bedroom options ranging from 1,345 to 2,838 square feet, each with a 2-car garage. Options include outdoor entertainment areas, flex space to accommodate a study or media room and a second-floor loft-style bedroom.
Pulte Homes has been contracted to construct the houses in The Haven. The press release referred to the project as allow-maintenance homes designed for active adults and busy professionals.
Crews are expected to break ground on two model homes for The Haven later this year, with completion and pre-sales scheduled for the first quarter of 2024, the release stated.
David Carrier, division president of PulteGroup Wilmington, said in the press release, “With our Riverlights’ Del Webb community completely selling out this year and Pulte’s strong single-family home demand, we see the need for low-maintenance single-story living in an amenity-rich community, such as Riverlights. We are confident The Haven will fill an important need for Wilmington’s real estate market.”
The Haven residents will have access to amenities like pickleball courts, a second community pool and clubhouse and a fitness facility. If you want to learn more about this community contact a JFB agent to represent you 910 202-4813.
