Every year one of Wilmington’s most popular public pools literally goes to the dogs. The Pooch Plunge is an annual event at the Robert Strange Park pool (at 410 S 10th Street) in Wilmington’s Midtown area.
Just For Buyers Realty has obtain this year’s dog friendly days.
The schedule is:
- Sept. 4 (3:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
- Sept. 5 (3:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
- Sept. 6 (3:30 to 7:30p.m.)
- Sept. 7 (noon to 5 p.m.)
- Sept. 8 (noon to 5 p.m.)
Per the YMCA, the cost is $5 cash per dog per day and dog park rules apply: all dogs must be up to date on vaccines, owners are responsible for pet behavior and aggressive dogs are not allowed.
Humans are not allowed in the pool while dogs are in the pool, so no humans can be in the water even partially during the event.
