
The Cape Fear region saw a slight decrease in new homes coming on the market. In September of 2023 a total of 1,097 homes were listed. Last month that number dropped by six to 1,091. That is a decrease of less than 1%.

Sellers saw a slight increase in the amount they are getting in comparison to their asking price. Last month, on average, sellers received 98.7% of their listed prices which is up by a tenth of a percentage point from last year.

When compared to September of 2023 the average housing price for a single family residence in the Cape Fear Region increased by 1%.

Sellers are waiting on average for more days longer than they were last year. In September 2023 homes were lasting only 47 days. Last month the average home sat for 51 days before finding a new owner.
