
The Cape Fear region saw a significant increase in new homes coming on the market. In October of 2023 a total of 543 homes were listed. Last month that number jumped to 625. That is an increase of more than 15%.

Sellers saw a slight increase in the amount they are getting in comparison to their asking price. Last month, on average, sellers received 98.9% of their listed prices which is up by two tenths of a percentage point from last year.

When compared to October of 2023 the average housing price for a single family residence in the Cape Fear Region increased by 8%.

Sellers are waiting on average for more days longer than they were last year. In October 2023 homes were lasting only 41 days. Last month the average home sat for 55 days before finding a new owner.
