Wilmington, NC — November proved to be another profitable month for the Cape Fear luxury housing market. A total of 59 properties priced at $1 million or more were sold across New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender counties during the month. The combined value of these sales was $99.9 million.
Last month’s figures outperformed November 2023, when 49 luxury properties sold in the tri-county area for a total of $75.4 million.
In what has already been the most profitable and successful year for luxury home sales, experts believe November is just another example of how high-end buyers are falling in love with coastal Carolina.
“Buyers are drawn to the unique combination of natural beauty, modern amenities, and a laid-back lifestyle that’s hard to find anywhere else,” said Scott Saxton of Just For Buyers Realty. “They’re not just purchasing a home; they’re investing in a lifestyle. Coastal Carolina offers something truly special, and the growing demand we’re seeing reflects that.”
The oldest luxury property to sell in November was a 1972 three-bedroom home in Hampstead’s Olde Point community. Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, the home was listed by The Rieker Team of Intracoastal Realty Corp. It spent just 36 days on the market before going under contract and closed on November 13th for $1,275,000.
