Amazon is bringing exciting opportunities to southeastern North Carolina with the announcement of a new delivery station in Pender County. This facility, located at Pender Commerce Park off U.S. 421 near the New Hanover County border, is set to create over 100 full-time jobs with starting wages of at least $15 an hour.
Pender Commerce Park is already home to major players like Polyhose, Acme Smoked Fish, and FedEx Freight. The addition of Amazon’s delivery station underscores the park’s growing role as a regional economic hub. Construction has already begun, with an official groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for February 20, 2025.
While Amazon has not released a specific timeline, similar facilities are often completed within a year. This expansion highlights Amazon’s ongoing investment in North Carolina, where it already operates 14 fulfillment centers, including three in Charlotte.
