Get ready, Oak Island—Mardi Gras by the Sea is back, and it’s going to be a blast! On Saturday, February 22, the town will be buzzing with beads, music, and plenty of good times as the annual parade and festival take over the island.
The fun starts at 11 a.m. with a lively parade down Keziah Street, featuring colorful floats, festive costumes, and, of course, lots of beads. Once the parade wraps up, the party moves to the Middleton Park Complex from noon to 4 p.m., where there will be food vendors, craft booths, and a Kids Zone to keep the little ones entertained.
Live music from the Old Man Mafia Band will keep the energy going all afternoon, so bring your dancing shoes and get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras, Oak Island-style.
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic day, so mark your calendar, bring some friends, and let the good times roll!
