Wilmington’s Brooklyn Arts District is set to come alive this summer with its first-ever music and arts festival. On July 12, the BAD Day Music & Arts Festival will make its debut, transforming the neighborhood into a vibrant celebration of sound, creativity, and community.
This one-day festival promises an unforgettable experience, featuring two outdoor stages with an impressive lineup of musical performances. Headliners include Railroad Earth, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, with more artists to be announced. Festivalgoers can also explore an eclectic mix of arts and crafts vendors, witness live mural paintings, and participate in wellness experiences, creating a well-rounded atmosphere of creativity and entertainment.
A Stellar Lineup of Talent

Railroad Earth has been captivating audiences for over two decades with their dynamic live shows and masterful musicianship. Since their debut with The Black Bear Sessions in 2001, the band has played legendary venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and founded long-running festivals like Hangtown Music Festival and Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival. Their collaboration with the John Denver Estate on Railroad Earth: The John Denver Letters further cemented their reputation as a band that honors tradition while pushing musical boundaries.

Yonder Mountain String Band has been at the forefront of progressive bluegrass for 25 years, pioneering the jamgrass movement by blending bluegrass with rock, psychedelic, and improvisational music. Their high-energy performances and innovative approach have opened doors for acoustic bands to thrive in rock venues, helping shape the modern jamgrass scene.

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country brings a fresh take on the classic American music experience. Fusing rock and country with a cosmic, free-spirited twist, Donato and his band create a sound that bridges Nashville’s deep roots with the exploratory vibes of mid-60s California. With intricate guitar work and infectious melodies, Cosmic Country is a journey through the past, present, and future of American music.
