Wilmington, get ready—because a legend is on his way!
This fall, the one and only John Legend will be bringing his smooth vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and timeless hits to the Live Oak Bank Pavilion. As part of his Get Lifted 20th Anniversary Tour, Legend will take the stage on October 29 for what’s sure to be an unforgettable night of R&B, hip-hop, and neo-soul magic.
If you’ve been a fan since the early days, you probably remember Get Lifted—his 2004 debut album that put him on the map. Released under Kanye West’s GOOD Music label, it gave us the hit song Ordinary People and earned Legend three Grammy wins. Fast forward 20 years, and he’s now a 10-time studio album veteran, with his latest, My Favorite Dream, dropping in 2024.
But music is just one part of his legendary status. He’s also the first African-American to achieve EGOT status (winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony), has worked with some of the biggest names in music—from Jay-Z and Lauryn Hill to Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson—and even coached fresh talent on The Voice, leading Maelyn Jarmon to victory in 2019.
His 41-stop tour starts overseas in May before making its way to the U.S. in August, wrapping up in Oakland, California, on December 9. Fans can expect a full performance of Get Lifted alongside other beloved tracks and deep cuts, all backed by a live band.
So, if you’re ready to experience the magic of John Legend live, mark your calendar—tickets for the Wilmington show go on sale to the public on Friday, March 28, with pre-sales starting Wednesday, March 27.
Don’t miss your chance to see a legend in action!
