Calling all Jedi, Sith, and eco-heroes—here’s your chance to save the galaxy and the planet! The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is inviting the community to a special “May the 4th Be With You” Beach Cleanup to celebrate Star Wars Day in a fun and meaningful way.
The event takes place Sunday, May 4, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. Expect some galactic fun with a Star Wars-themed costume contest, cool prizes, and even free coffee to fuel your cleanup mission.
Organizers encourage participants to keep things eco-friendly by bringing reusable water bottles, coffee tumblers, and gloves. If you don’t have your own gear, no worries—the Aquarium will have refill stations, reusable gloves, and buckets or bags ready for you.
So, suit up in your best space gear, grab your crew, and help keep our beaches clean—because even the smallest effort can make a big difference in this corner of the galaxy.
