Start your morning with a little movement and a lot of ocean breeze at 100 Yogis on the Beach. Hosted by Salty Dog Yoga & Surf, this peaceful group session takes place just north of the Carolina Beach Pier from 9 to 10 a.m. (Check-in starts at 8:30.) Over 140 people have already signed up, but spots are still available for $5 — with a portion going to the Federal Point History Center. Afterward, the Pier will be serving up brunch cocktails and a special menu for those who want to stick around and soak in the vibe.
Prefer chrome to chakras? Then swing by Cars of the Decades, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Classic cars and bikes will take over the area, with the American Legion Riders rolling in and celebrity judges on hand to award “Best in Decade” honors. Entry is free for participants — just roll in when gates open at 8:30 a.m. — and the whole event will have a festive feel with a live DJ, line dancing, and $10 Plates & Maggie food on site. Proceeds will help support “Christmas in July” at the Betty H. Cameron Women & Children’s Hospital.
Whether you’re into yoga, vintage rides, or just good community energy, it’s a great day to be at the beach.
