If you’ve ever spent spring in Wilmington, you know there’s one week that just feels bigger than the rest — the North Carolina Azalea Festival.
Porches get dressed up. Downtown buzzes. Out-of-town plates start showing up in traffic. And by the time Friday night rolls around, all eyes turn to the waterfront for one of the festival’s biggest traditions: the Friday Night Concert.
Now we know who’s taking that stage in 2026.
Country hitmaker Dustin Lynch will headline the Friday Night Concert at 7 p.m. on April 10 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. If you’re a country fan, you already know what that means — big hooks, sing-along choruses and a catalog full of radio favorites.
Lynch isn’t just another name on a tour poster. He’s stacked up 10 number-one songs, four additional top-five hits and even earned membership in the legendary Grand Ole Opry. That’s serious country credibility — and it’s likely to draw a packed crowd along the Cape Fear.
And the music doesn’t stop there.
Festival organizers have also announced that Lil Jon will headline the Thursday Night Concert on April 9, bringing a completely different energy to kick off the weekend. It’s a one-two punch of country and hip-hop that shows just how wide the festival’s musical net has become.
As always, the concerts will be held rain or shine — because if there’s one thing Azalea Festival fans know, it’s that a little weather doesn’t stop Wilmington from celebrating.
Tickets are on sale now, and if history tells us anything, they won’t last long.
Spring will be here before we know it. And when it gets here, the biggest weekend in Wilmington is ready to soundtrack it.
