Located off Blue Clay Road in Castle Hayne, Cape Landing has the advantage of being near Wilmington without the city taxes.
It is a smaller subdivision with approximately 50 homes. The first ones were built in 2018. While mostly built out, there are still some lots waiting for development. The homes represent seven different floor plans. Most are colonial style, although there are a few single story homes. Sizes range from 1900- 2400 square feet.
All homes have vinyl sided exteriors and open floor plans on the interiors. Standard construction features include granite or quarts countertops, stainless steel appliances, 36 inch cabinets, luxury vinyl flooring, and tankless water heaters.
This stretch of Blue Clay road remains largely undeveloped. It’s easy to forecast a time in the near future when more neighborhoods, stores and restaurants will be coming to the area. At the moment, residents have a short 10 minute drive to the nearest strip mall and grocery stores.
Cape Landing is in the Castle Hayne Elementary, Trask Middle, and Laney High school districts.
The most recent sales in the neighborhood averaged $327,000. There is an HOA with annual dues of $438. Those fees cover the maintenance of community green spaces. Cape Landing does not have athe community amenities, like a pool or playground, that some other developments feature.
