Hanover Lakes is one of Wilmington’s newest subdivisions. Bill Clark Homes started developing the neighborhood in 2016, with some of the homes still being constructed today. When finished there will be a total of 230 homes.
This neighborhood features winding sidewalks occupied by kids on bikes and dogs on leashes.
Hanover Lakes is located off Castle Hayne Road on Wilmington’s north side. It is close to the airport and a short drive to downtown.
Although the name is plural, there is only one lake in the neighborhood. It is a 14 acre body of water with a community waterfront gazebo. Other amenities include an outdoor lap-sized, salt water pool with water side and open- air cabana.
The homes come in two styles, the single story “cottage floor plan” and the two story “estate floor plan.” Both plans are craftsman style with hardy-plank siding, large front porches and fenced backyards.
In the last 12 months a total of 22 homes have sold in the neighborhood for an average price of $524,589.
Hanover Lakes is in the Wrightsboro Elementary, Holly Shelter Middle, New Hanover High neighborhood.
