Helms Port is a gated new home community located off of Masonboro Loop Road in Wilmington. The 85-acre tract of land it sits on used to be the Aqua Vista Christmas Tree Farm, owned by the Emmart family of Wilmington. This land had been in the Emmart family for more than 160 years, before it was sold to Logan Homes for development into Helms Port. The land was then divided into 159 home sites.
Within the community of Helms Port is three neighborhoods. Saylor’s Haven features quaint, coastal cottage homes, with cool exterior colors. Kathryn’s Retreat consists of some larger homes with sunrooms and large porches. Residents of these homes enjoy pond views and living among mature Pecan Trees. Parker Shores is the custom built, most expensive section of Helms Port. Elegant coastal homes sit on the Helms Port Marina and feature panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway, in addition to some Atlantic views.
Helms Port is an amenity-rich community. Residents enjoy access to a 3,500 square foot clubhouse and a resort-style pool, a private beach on the Intracoastal Waterway, a 75-slip marina, kayak/canoe launch, and an outdoor gathering space with a fire pit.
