Heritage Woods is a community in the unincorporated area of New Hanover County. It is tucked away off Halyburton Memorial Parkway. It is in close proximity to the stores and restaurants in the Monkey Junction. The nearest beaches are on Pleasure Island- less than five minutes to Carolina Beach and less than 10 minutes to Kure Beach.
Construction of the neighborhood started in the mid 90’s with the newest homes going up in 2007.
There are many different styles in the neighborhood including both central hall colonials and traditional ranches. A number of the homes in the community feature the FROG (Front Room Over the Garage) style that is very popular in this part of the country. All the bedrooms are downstairs with a staircase that leads up to one additional bonus room.
Heritage Woods is made up of roughly 80 homes. The vast majority offer three bedrooms and two baths. With a typical home measuring between 1,500 and 1,800 square feet.
Our favorite part of Heritage Woods is its proximity to Veterans Park, which is one of the largest public parks and sports complexes in New Hanover County.
