Preston Woods is a community in Wilmington’s Midtown area. It is located just south of the Pine Valley Subdivision and Pine Valley Country Club. It is in close proximity to Halyburton Park, The Pointe at Barclay shopping center, and about a 10 to 15 minute drive to both downtown or Wrightsville Beach.
Virtually all of the homes in Preston Woods were built in the 90’s. They have a mix of brick-veneer and horizontal-siding exteriors. Many of the garages are side loading and help to keep the front of the homes looking uniform from the street. Some of the houses along the south side of Macon Court border a large pond that is owned by the city. All of the roads in the subdivision end in cul-de-sacs with landscaped divided medians in the center.
