Rachel’s Place is one of New Hanover County’s newest neighborhoods. It is located off Blue Clay Road in Castle Hayne in the County’s north end. It’s in close proximity to Wilmington International Airport, Laney High School and Cape Fear Community College’s north campus. It is located about a 15 minute drive away from downtown Wilmington and a 20 minute drive to Wrightsville Beach.
The neighborhood is being developed by Bostic Building Corporation. Most of the homesites are complete and occupied, but plans are in the works to add at least 17 more homes. When complete, the entire development will feature 154 houses. The properties come in one of five floor plans and range in size from 1580 to 2700 square feet. Features include kitchens with designer cabinets, stainless steel appliances, tile backsplash and granite countertops.
Rachel’s Place lacks some of the amenities found in other developments. There is no community pool or clubhouse, but plans are in the works to eventually add a small playground and green space common area.
In the last 12 months a total of five homes have sold in Rachel’s Place, for an average price of $394,400. The neighborhood is located in the Wrightsboro Elementary, Holly Shelter Middle, New Hanover High school districts.
