TidalWalk, a gated community located off of Myrtle Grove Road, sits on the banks of North Carolina’s Intracoastal Waterway. Construction in the community is ongoing, and there will be 198 homes when the neighborhood is complete. In 2014, approximately two dozen homes sold in TidalWalk. The new homes reflect the southern, coastal environment, and the neighborhood offers many activities, giving residents a chance to get to know one another.
Natural gas is available in the TidalWalk community, and residents have city water and sewer services. TidalWalk homeowners are not subject to Wilmington city taxes; just county and fire district taxes.
Five different neighborhoods are found within TidalWalk. The Cottages are the most affordable homes in TidalWalk, featuring quaint southern architecture. The Hammocks also offer some less expensive home options, with high-quality construction. The custom and semi-custom homes within The Sands section of TidalWalk feature partial views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The Marshes is also a custom and semi-custom build neighborhood, where townhomes are a possibility in the future. The Beaches neighborhood contains the most expensive homes of TidalWalk. Homes in The Beaches are completely custom, and feature panoramic views of the ICW and extensive views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Homeowners can enjoy the community’s Residents’ Club, which includes a 3,700 square foot clubhouse, saltwater pool, cabana, fitness center, and children’s playground. Along with the views of the Intracoastal, TidalWalk offers a 1/4 mile long private beach, fishing piers, docks and 10 boat slips (9 privately owned and 1 shared day slip), 150-foot pier with a gazebo, and Intracoastal Waterway Access. The community also has it’s own private island (Green Turtle Hammock Island), to which a boardwalk is planned. Boat owners can boat to Masonboro Island in about two minutes. Downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach are a short drive away, and you can be in Carolina Beach in just a few minutes.
