Business Owners North of Downtown ask for an Extension of Wilmington’s Riverwalk
Wilmington ‘s Riverwalk currently runs from Church and Nun Streets and ends just before the Isabel Holmes Bridge. Some business owners say that is not long enough. They want an extension of the Riverwalk further north under the Isabel Holmes Bridge. Read more

Luxury Housing Market Record Breaking Stretch Enters Its Third Year
The record breaking sales streak for luxury homes in the Cape Fear region has now extended to an unprecedented 25 months. Last month, sales of homes with a price tag of at least $1 million saw a massive increase in year-to-year sales. In June 2022, a total of 73 luxury homes closed in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties. That is an increase of 74% from June of 2021 when 42 luxury homes sold in the region. Read more
Sales Down Inventory Up
Inside the housing market in June shows the number of sales fell year to year by 24%, but prices continue to go up. From June of 2021 to June 2022 the median price in the Cape Fear rose by more than 17%
