October is your chance to meet WPD’s newest officers
Meet Willie and Romeo. They are the newest members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Mounted Unit. The horses were named following an extensive competition in which the public submitted more than 1,500 entries. The horses will help with downtown patrols and community engagement. The public will have the chance to meet Willie and Romeo at the National Night Out event on Wednesday, October 4rd, 2023 at Long Leaf Park.
